This is a two-page resource on Chuck Close. You can photocopy back to back and laminate for repeated use. I’ve also included four gridded drawing worksheets which can be photocopied for students to work on directly. Produced in Powerpoint so you can edit as needed.
Can be used as a cover lesson during a relevant project (photorealism, portraiture, colour, tone…). Also as an extension activity, or as a whole class task. Students are asked to read the information about the artist then answer questions, then show their visual understanding through a tonal grid transfer drawing.
